wasl's new phase, announced May 2025
There is no community called Jumeirah Golf Estates 2. That name is used by agent lead-generation sites for a genuine project whose correct name is Jumeirah Golf Estates: The Next Chapter, announced by wasl on 14 May 2025. The masterplan covers 4.68 million sq m at Me'aisem First, between Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, and provides for 12,345 new units. Nothing has been delivered. Early releases are named Pinewood Estate Homes, Ashwood Estates and Cedarwood Estates.
wasl's masterplan includes a 131,850 sq m central park, a 5,000-seat tennis stadium, an equestrian centre, a 46,000 sq m international academy and more than 48,000 sq m of retail and dining. All of it is announced. The existing Jumeirah Golf Estates clubhouse, courses and metro station are adjacent.
Handover dates are the open question. wasl says they are to be announced, while agent sites market 2028 and 2029 dates that the developer has not confirmed. Anything you are shown with a firm completion date should be checked against wasl directly. The same applies to the promised Etihad Rail connection, which appears in the masterplan announcement and has not been confirmed by the rail operator.
